TRACS WA has had the privilege of working with the inspirational Rebecca Carbone, a survivor of a brain tumour and stroke. We were first introduced to Rebecca in the Goal Setting in Rehabilitation - Armadale Hospital video [6m] which was featured as part of TRACS WA training sessions some years ago.

We then met Rebecca in person and since that time she has joined us on a number of occasions during the Goal Setting training sessions to share her story. In these presentations Rebecca bravely and courageously shares her journey from brain trauma, time in ICU and rehabilitation through to recovery.

Rebecca provides a pillar of hope to other survivors of stroke through her volunteer roles in the community. She is a member of several committees and boards. She recently had her story published in the Brain Tumour Alliance of Australia May e-news (scroll to the bottom of the page to find Rebecca’s article.)

We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to interview Rebecca and hear her story.  Her story is inspiring and unique. She talks to TRACS WA about her journey, setting and achieving goals, and all the difficulties she had to overcome along the way.
