We would like to say a big thank you to John Robinson, Lorna Davin and Alison Kirkman and all those who attended our Compassion in Health care Community of Practice last week.
It was an afternoon spent hearing about and exploring topics of compassion in palliative care and how to have courageous open and honest conversations as well as gaining an understanding of the positive effects of mindfulness and emotional wellness on your health and cell function.
We appreciated the participant’s time, commitment and energy in coming together and being part of thoughtful exploration and generating group questions and discussions. One of the attendees commented that the most useful aspects of the session included:
“New research findings about mindfulness, compassion and empathy. Also the opportunity to meet with colleagues. I came away feeling inspired.”
Thank you so much for your partnership and collaboration in the Community of Practice and we look forward to our journey ahead.
