Tanya Regan (BSc (Physio), Grad Dip Neuro Rehab) joins us in the role of Allied Health Clinical Lead on secondment from Fremantle Hospital.
She is a physiotherapist who works in Neurological Rehabilitation, most recently at the D4 Rehabilitation Outpatient Clinic at Fremantle Hospital. Tanya has worked in the Paediatric Disability sector and across a range of different clinical areas at Fremantle Hospital before specialising in rehabilitation and subacute care.
Tanya is passionate about improving participation and function in clients as well as improving delivery of clinical care, in particular for stroke survivors. Tanya has a special interest in focusing rehabilitation on patient-centred goals. She completed a TRACS WA funded Workforce Learning Fund project on the V5 Rehabilitation Ward at Fremantle, where she reviewed the current goal setting processes, provided mentoring and support to staff and developed training and implementation resources to assist on improving and embedding patient-centred goal setting within ward processes. Tanya has been a committee member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) WA Neurology Group Committee for four years. She is currently the Deputy Chairperson of the WA committee and sits on the APA National Neurology Group Committee. In this role she has assisted with planning and coordinating professional development lectures and courses for Physiotherapists within WA and nationally.
