TRACS WA and the Tracheostomy Community of Practice held a virtual education event via MS Teams on the 17th March. We heard from clinicians at Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Brightwater Care Group.

It has been TRACS WA’s great pleasure to work with our new OAMH lead, Dr Noel Collins, whose expert input into our learning program has made this full day of training highly relevant to all health providers for people whose mental health is compromised at differing times along their health journey. We invite you to attend our new training program which has received excellent reviews at two pilot sessions.

TRACS WA have always been responsive to training requests from people working in health services across WA. In the past few years, there has been a growing number of clinicians who work in subacute care / rehabilitation who have attended our Older Adult Mental Health module. There is definitely a growing need and understanding of co-morbidities that exist in our patients where a holistic approach to care is essential.

Tanya Regan was seconded from the Fremantle Hospital Physiotherapy Department into the position of Allied Health Clinical Lead at TRACS WA in August 2020.

During October and November TRACS WA ran a series of thirty-minute toolbox sessions as part of a Fremantle Hospital Service’s continuing education program.
